Description

In the final member meeting of 2021, our working groups continue on their many projects. Because of the ongoing pandemic and for the safety of our members, we are once again hosting this meeting digitally, through Zoom and other platforms. To accommodate our non-U.S. members, we have scheduled all of the sessions early PT (GMT-8) requiring the meeting to span over four days from October 18th thru October 21st.

Note: This meeting is for Streaming Video Alliance member companies only. If you would like to attend and contribute to the Alliance’s work, we encourage you to  join today!

Exploring Sustainabilty

As demand for streaming has grown, so too has the need for more servers, more power, and more technological resources all of which have an environmental impact. The industry cannot ignore the responsibility to understand and address the impact of its growth. Join us for a fireside chat with Dom Robinson, Founder of GreeningForStreaming, a new industry association focused on addressing sustainability within the streaming industry, and Jason Thibeault, Executive Director of the Streaming Video Alliance to discuss this new initiative, some of the thoughts about sustainability raised during their first event, and collaboration with the Alliance.
